Houses

Below is a photo of of a house in Indianapolis, 134 Woodside Avenue.  Is this home of Art and Ella Limp?

The house below is 817 N. DeQuincy Avenue in Indianapolis.  An early census report lists the occupants as Art, Ella and Betty Limp.  So I assume this is the house where Betty Limp grew up.  Correct?

There is another house photo that I can't figure out.  I will scan and post it here later.

Kid photos

This photo of a child was in a collection of a lot of other photos of children (maybe all photos of the same kid) that I thought were photos of Harold Stoehr.  This may be Harold, but I'm wondering if instead it might be Charles Stoehr for a few reasons.  First, the car is obviously quite old.  Charles was born in 1909, but Harold was born in 1920.  But more that than, the man in next two photos was identified by Ralph Johnson as Alfred D. Kelly, father of Alice Kelly.

Below: Alfred D. Kelly with child.

Below, Alfred D. Kelly with child.  Note that this is the same child in the first photo, and the photo is from the same day (note pipe by car rear care tire).  Since the children appear to be a girl (top) and a boy (below) and they are young and close in age, I was thinking more likely Geneva Stoehr and Charles Stoehr.  Thoughts?

A Limp-Spreen picnic ?

I think in the photo below,  Art Limp is in the back row, far left.  No idea about any of the others.

I think Ella Spreen might be second from left, back row, but I'm not positive.  Confirmation, and any other identifications?

I think Betty Limp is back row, far right.   Confirmation?  Additional info?

More old photos

Here are some more.

This photo was in an album with various photos of Oscar Stoehr and some of Alice Kelly's family.  Does anybody know anything about any of these folks?  I suppose there's a chance it could include a very young Oscar, a very young Alice, or ??

The photo below is annotated, but I'm not sure who all of the people are or who wrote the notes.  This photo was in an album that included images from both Limp and Stoehr families.  Since Art Limp is referred to as "Art" and Ella and Betty are referred to as Ella and Betty, but there is also a "Mother" and a "Dad", I'm assuming that this was not written by Betty Stoehr.  It's not clear, either, exactly who "Mother" and "Dad" are, or the various uncles, etc.  Any clues?

I don't know who this is.  It looks a bit like the man named "Uncle Val" in the photo above, but the man below does not have a mustache.

The photo below was included in an album that had other photos of Art Limp.  Otherwise, no clues.
Suggestions?

Anybody recognize this man, below?

The photo below, of the man with the child, was loose (i.e. not in an album).  I thought it might be Oscar, but this man appears to have all his fingers.

This photo, below, appears to be very old.  It was a loose photo.  No idea who it is.

I'll try to put up photos here so you call can view them and comment so we can figure out who is in them.  I will group them, or at least designate,  if they are included in albums together because this might help us figure it out.  Please add comments in the comments box at the bottom of each post, and PLEASE make it clear which photo you are referring to.  If you click on the photo, a larger version will come up.

The first few posts will come from photos that were loose in the box, either because they were never in albums or because they fell out.

From the "Loose Photos" collection.

The picture below was labeled "Grandma Spreen".  I assume this means Ella Spreen's mother, but I don't know the name.
Grandma Spreen = ??

The photo below says "Ella Spreen and Rose Volp".  Is Rose a family member or a friend?

This photo with three people was labeled "Limp Lilly Carl Keiser".  I assume Ella Limp is on the left.  Who are Lilly and Carl Keiser?

The photo below is almost certainly the house on S. Franklin Road, and the boy in the photo looks a lot like Sam (A. Stoehr) to me, but he's not sure this is him.  He doesn't recognize the cars, and won't claim the hat.  Any thoughts?
